Local 6360 Organizes Missouri 9-1-1 Dispatchers
CWA Local 6360 in Kansas City, Missouri organized the 911 dispatchers at the City of Blue Springs Missouri. A contract has been negotiated and has been ratified by the bargaining unit. Not only did these members get grievance rights, and representation, we were able to secure a pay increase for all members ranging from 4 ¼ to 5 ½ percent.
An election was held the week of January 13th with the Missouri Board of Mediation for the workers of Lee’s Summit. On January 17th, we received preliminary results that the dispatchers had unanimously voted to be represented by CWA Local 6360. Currently we are in the 10 day period waiting to see if any challenges are filed if not we will then enter into negotiations to secure a first contract for these new members.
Please help in welcoming these folks to CWA!
